Repeat Prescriptions

At least 48 hours notice is required for repeat prescriptions. Please ensure that you order a repeat prescription before you run out of your medication.

You can order your medication in the following ways:

You can order repeat prescriptions via Patient Access.  Please see attached for patient guide to register for Patient Access: /admin/resources/1447693297-patient-access-patient-guide.rtf) Registering for Patient Access will also allow you to book and cancel appointments on-line.

In Surgery

Repeat prescriptions can also be ordered in person by placing the completed counterfoil attached to your prescription in the prescription box during surgery hours or posting through the letter box out of hours.

Prescriptions can also be faxed to the surgery on 0208 905 4809 or posted to the surgery. Posting may result in a delay as all post is delievered to our Burnt Oak site but prescriptions are processed at the Stanmore site for Stanmore patients. If you supply a stamped addressed envelope we will forward your prescription to you.

You may also want to speak to our local chemists who may arrange to order your medication as needed from the surgery.

Electronic Prescriptions (EPS)

As of January 2014 we use the electronic prescribing service. This is a paperless services that allows prescriptions to be sent electronically from the surgey to your nominated pharmacy. Please see patient guide attached to find out more about EPS: /admin/resources/patientinformationsheet-eps2.pdf

Medication Reviews

There will be times when a repeat prescription cannot be issued until you have been seen by a doctor. You will be informed of this and an appointment will be offered. Please do not ignore any reminders as this will cause a delay in your receiving your medication.

Acute (Short-term) Medication

If you require a prescription for medication which is not on repeat (i.e which is acute or short term) requests for this will also need to be put in writing directly to the surgery, by post, fax or by coming in to the surgery and completing a prescription request form.

If you use patient access and have other repeat medication you can use the notes section to request acute medication.

Please note: You will not be able to order acute medications directly from the pharmacist.
